Published Book - Poetry Collection

If I had to describe my poetry book and my journey with poetry, it would be hard to say exactly where it started. Maybe it began when I was eight, discovering Franz Kafka; reading stories by Ernest Hemingway or Can Themba, like the well-known 'The Suit'; or meeting my English teacher, Mrs Ndabeni, who brought literature into my life. Each of these moments became a step that shaped my voice, and this journey is what my book is all about.

Writing came into my life when I least expected it and became both a challenge and a way to save myself. My journey with poetry is full of layers and complexity. This book is not just about telling a story but about sharing my restless thoughts and my search for meaning, which is what drives my writing.

This book, however, I envision as a young teenage boy stepping off the stage, feeling confused and lost and in search of grace, grappling with broken hearts and failed connections. He transitions from blaming the world for his troubles to realising that he too must grow in order to become a man capable of facing life's challenges. It’s a young man on a quest for peace amidst chaos, wondering if he will ever find it. Welcome to the realm of my thoughts and musings.
